GoldBod CEO Sammy Gyamfi Announces Arrest of Suspects in GHS100M Gold Smuggling Case

The Chief Executive Officer of GoldBod, Sammy Gyamfi Esq., has announced the arrest and prosecution of suspects linked to Rafmoh Gold Ltd. and NK Benark Enterprise in connection with a major gold smuggling case.

According to Gyamfi, over 100 kilograms of gold, valued at approximately GHS100 million, were smuggled out of Ghana within just two months.

Authorities have since moved in on the companies and individuals suspected of playing key roles in the illegal operation.

He stressed that the arrests form part of ongoing efforts to sanitize Ghana’s gold export sector and protect the nation’s resources from exploitation.

Details on the identities of the suspects and the full scope of the prosecution are expected to be released in due course.
