Bawumia : NDC Court Harassment Drove Ernest Kumi to His Grave

Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has laid a heavy charge at the doorstep of the ruling NDC, blaming their intimidation tactics and court battles for the tragic death of the late Ernest Kumi, the MP for Akwatia.

Addressing chiefs at Akyem Wenchi ahead of Tuesday’s crucial by-election, Dr. Bawumia did not mince words. He revealed that the NDC’s relentless court case against Kumi, combined with their intimidation, robbed him of his peace of mind and worsened his health.
According to him, the young politician was left restless and under severe pressure. “Twenty-six days after the court’s final verdict, he passed away,” Dr. Bawumia said, sending shockwaves through the gathering.
The allegation adds a dramatic twist to the Akwatia by-election campaign, as Bawumia positions the NPP as the party fighting for justice while accusing the ruling NDC of destroying lives with political witch-hunts.
