“Engaging in Anal Sex Invites Satan Into Your Bedroom” — David Ogbueli Sparks Debate

Founder of Dominion City Church Global, Pastor David Ogbueli, has ignited widespread discussion after delivering a sermon condemning certain sexual practices within marriage, describing them as spiritually dangerous and contrary to what he believes is God’s design.
Preaching to his congregation, the cleric expressed concern over what he called a growing moral and spiritual decline within the church. He argued that marital intimacy should follow what he considers the biblical model, cautioning couples against practices he deems “unnatural.”
“Suddenly it’s all about sex… the one God made for male and female; you don’t want it anymore. You want it from the back,” he said, warning that such acts—even between husband and wife—amount to defiling the marriage bed.
Referencing the biblical story of Sodom and Gomorrah, Pastor Ogbueli suggested that the cities’ destruction was not limited to same-sex relations but also involved sexual acts he believes fall outside God’s intended design, including within heterosexual marriages.
He further claimed that engaging in such practices “invites Satan into the bedroom,” alleging that certain behaviours may be influenced by what he described as spiritual forces, including “spirits of the Nephilim” and fallen beings.
According to him, these influences can be transmitted through immoral acts, bloodlines, or sexual contact with partners previously exposed to such practices.
The sermon has since drawn mixed reactions online, with some supporting his stance on upholding traditional Christian values, while others have criticised the remarks as controversial and overly extreme.
Pastor Ogbueli concluded by urging Christians—both young and old—to remain spiritually vigilant and uphold what he described as God’s standards for marriage and sexual conduct.
