National Service Authority Unveils Uniforms for First Cohort of Military-Trained Personnel

The National Service Authority (NSA) has officially released the first images of uniforms for the inaugural batch of national service personnel set to undergo military training at the Ghana Armed Forces training facilities.
This marks a historic phase in Ghana’s national service program, following recent reforms aimed at instilling discipline, patriotism, and leadership skills among service personnel.
The newly unveiled uniforms—featuring a distinct military-inspired design—will be worn by the first cohort of candidates who are expected to begin their training in the coming weeks.
According to the NSA, the introduction of the military component is part of a broader strategy to equip graduates with both civic and security awareness, while promoting national cohesion and resilience.
“The training will focus on character development, teamwork, and service to the nation,” a spokesperson for the Authority said.
The development has sparked widespread conversation online, with many Ghanaians expressing curiosity and pride over the new direction of the national service scheme.
The first batch of trainees will commence their program under the supervision of the Ghana Armed Forces, as part of a pilot initiative before a nationwide rollout.
