From Crown to Court: Chiaky Otuteye Takes Legal Action After Crown Is Withdrawn

Dr Chiaky Otuteye is heading to court after her Miss Intercontinental Ghana title was withdrawn — a decision she is now challenging legally.
The medical doctor was stripped of her crown following complaints allegedly sent to the international pageant body questioning whether she met the standards required for the global competition. According to Dr Otuteye, the decision came amid intense online abuse, with critics branding her “not beautiful” and “undeserving” of the title.
Speaking in an interview on Joy FM, later circulated on social media on 21 February 2026, she detailed the emotional toll the cyberbullying had taken on her.
Recounting events leading up to the lawsuit, Dr Otuteye said she received a call from organisers, Cloudz Entertainment, requesting that she return her sash and crown. She was reportedly informed that the international governing body had received complaints and had subsequently disqualified her, replacing her with another titleholder.
In response, Dr Otuteye has filed legal action against the organisers and is expected to appear in court on Tuesday, 24 February 2026.
As of now, Cloudz Entertainment has not publicly responded to the allegations.
