Member of Parliament for Klottey Korle, Dr. Zanetor Agyeman-Rawlings, has responded to growing speculation about her being Ghana’s next Defence Minister — and she’s not buying into the hype just yet.
In a video circulating online, where she was referred to as the “incoming minister,” she simply laughed it off, saying:
“Guys, I don’t know about that.”
The speculation gained traction after a cryptic post by Fifi Fiavi Kwetey, who shared a photo with Zanetor alongside the message:
“Don’t rush your journey. What is meant for you will come together at the right time…”
The post quickly fueled conversations about a possible appointment.
The Defence Minister role has remained unoccupied since the tragic passing of Edward Kofi Omane Boamah in August 2025.
He died in a helicopter crash involving a Harbin Z-9 in the Ashanti Region, a loss that shocked the nation.
While the rumours continue to swirl, Zanetor’s reaction suggests nothing has been confirmed — at least for now.
Still, with the position vacant and political signals flying, many are watching closely to see who will eventually step into one of Ghana’s most critical ministerial roles.
