“It’s Giving Politics, Not Quality” — Charlie Dior Calls Out Telecel Ghana Music Awards Over Cina Soul Snub

Ghanaian fashion critic Charlie Dior has publicly expressed frustration with the Telecel Ghana Music Awards, accusing the awards board of overlooking singer Cina Soul despite what he believes was one of the year’s best albums.
Taking to social media, Dior questioned the credibility of the nomination process, suggesting that the omission of Cina Soul from the Best Album category raises concerns about fairness.
“Ghana Music Awards really need to start doing proper findings. How does Cina Soul drop one of the best albums of the year and not get a Best Album nomination? At this point, it’s giving politics not quality,” he wrote.
Dior further suggested that members of the awards board may not have listened to the project at all.
“If y’all on the Ghana Music Awards board haven’t listened to Cina Soul’s album, just say that chile… because that Best Album list is not making sense.”
His comments have since sparked debate among music fans, with many weighing in on whether Cina Soul deserved a nomination in the category.
