Metro Mass MD Allegedly Bought 202 Buses for GH¢385,000 — Saddick Adams Drops Bombshell

Ghanaian sports and current affairs journalist Saddick Adams, popularly known as Sports Obama, has made a shocking revelation about the recent auction of Metro Mass Transit (MMT) buses that has left many Ghanaians questioning the system.

Speaking live on Angel FM, the award-winning broadcaster alleged that the Managing Director of Metro Mass Transit personally acquired 202 buses for just GH¢385,000 — a figure that has sparked outrage among citizens and social media users alike.

According to Saddick Adams, the transaction raises serious concerns about transparency and accountability within the state-owned transport company. He described the deal as “deeply troubling” and called for an immediate investigation into how the auction was conducted.

“How can someone buy over 200 buses for less than GH¢400,000? Even if they were scraps, this price doesn’t make sense. The public deserves answers,” Saddick Adams stated during his broadcast.

The alleged deal has fueled widespread debate online, with many Ghanaians calling on the Ministry of Transport and anti-corruption agencies to step in and audit the entire process.

As of now, Metro Mass Transit management has not officially responded to the allegations, but pressure is mounting for clarification on how the buses were valued and sold.

This latest development adds to growing concerns about asset mismanagement in some state-owned enterprises — a recurring issue that continues to test public trust in governance.
