Nana Aba Anamoah Slams “Clout-Chasing” Prophets Over Celebrity Prophecies

Renowned Ghanaian media personality Nana Aba Anamoah has launched a scathing critique against self-styled prophets who rely on celebrity names, doom prophecies, and fear-mongering to trend and remain relevant.

In a strongly worded commentary, Nana Aba questioned the authenticity of prophecies that seem designed more for attention and social media engagement than genuine spiritual guidance.

“If your prophecy needs a celebrity name to trend, it is clout chasing on a pulpit,” she stated.

She further argued that any prophet who thrives on doom, fear, and public figures cannot claim to be speaking for God, stressing that divine revelation is not given to those who weaponise the pulpit for relevance.

“God does not whisper revelations to people who weaponise the pulpit for relevance. Seek help. You’re not well,” she added.

Nana Aba also criticized the growing trend of contradictory prophecies, using Ghana’s political space as an example. According to her, one prophet claiming Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia will win the NPP primaries while another insists Kennedy Agyapong will emerge victorious raises serious questions.

“Same God. Different outcomes,” she noted sarcastically.

She didn’t stop there, urging such prophets to direct their alarming prophecies closer to home instead of causing unnecessary fear and panic among innocent people.

“If you’re so good, go prophesy doom for your uncles, aunties and Abusua Payins,” she said.

Nana Aba’s comments have since sparked intense debate online, with many Ghanaians applauding her for boldly calling out what she described as spiritual fraudsters parading as prophets.

Her message serves as a reminder for the public to question, discern, and resist fear-based prophecies, especially in an era where social media can amplify misinformation at alarming speed.
