Police arrested 48-year-old Hanson Osei for illegally operating a makeshift “clinic” inside his chamber and hall room for more than 12 years without a medical licence.
According to authorities, Osei had been treating unsuspecting patients despite having no medical training or certification from any recognised institution.
Shockingly, during police interrogation, he admitted without hesitation that he had been running the unlicensed facility and providing medical services to the public.
The illegal practice had reportedly gone unnoticed for years until residents raised suspicions, prompting a police investigation that led to his arrest. Items including syringes, unprescribed drugs, and basic medical tools were retrieved from his residence.
Police have since warned the public against seeking health care from unlicensed practitioners, stressing the dangers involved. Hanson Osei is currently in custody and expected to face charges related to operating an illegal medical facility and endangering public health.
