NPP Initiates Process to Expel Prof. Kwabena Frimpong Boateng Over “Fake Party” Comments

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has announced that it has triggered constitutional processes to expel Professor Kwabena Frimpong Boateng from the party following comments he made during a recent television interview.

During the interview, the former party stalwart described the NPP as a “fake party” and openly stated that he no longer considers himself a member of the political organization.

In response, the NPP says the comments amount to anti-party conduct and are in direct violation of the party’s constitution. Party officials have therefore initiated the required internal procedures to formally remove Prof. Frimpong Boateng from its membership.

The development has sparked debate within political circles, with some questioning the implications of the remarks, while others view the party’s action as a necessary step to uphold discipline and unity.

The NPP is yet to announce the next steps in the process or whether Prof. Frimpong Boateng will be invited to appear before a disciplinary committee as part of the proceedings.
