The Ashanti Regional Police Command has arrested 45-year-old Isaac Boafo, popularly known as “Duabo King,” for allegedly publishing false news.
Boafo is said to have released a video claiming that four officers stationed at the Central Police Station in Kumasi engaged in inappropriate conduct with commercial sex workers during night patrols at Asafo.
According to police, during interrogation, Boafo admitted to creating and publishing the video. He reportedly confessed that as a social media content creator, he fabricated the allegations solely to attract views and boost online engagement.
Police say investigations are ongoing as he assists with further inquiries.
