Member of Parliament, Sam George, has revealed that a new misinformation and disinformation bill is almost ready to be presented before Parliament.
According to him, the proposed legislation will target the spread of fake news, hate speech, misinformation, and disinformation across media platforms.
Sam George emphasized that the bill is designed to hold offenders accountable. “Don’t say you weren’t warned.
We will come after you, we will prosecute you, and we will jail you,” he cautioned.
The upcoming bill is expected to spark debate on issues of free speech, accountability, and digital responsibility once it reaches the floor of Parliament.
